Commemorative Event at the Philological Society “Parnassos”

A commemorative event was held on 14 June 2015 at the Philological Society “Parnassos” by the Patriarchal Foundation for Orthodox Mission in the Far East, marking the 15th anniversary of the repose of Fr. Pankratios Brousalēs and honoring his contribution to the Far East.

The event was followed by a lecture by the academic Professor of Mathematics and Astronomy, Mr. Georgios Kontopoulos.

The Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople, His All-Holiness Bartholomew, was represented by Archimandrite Fr. Chrysostomos Efstratiou, and the Archbishop of Athens and All Greece, His Beatitude Ieronymos, was represented by Archimandrite Chrysostomos Papathanasiou.

The event was attended by teachers of the Gospel, representatives of the intellectual community, representatives of Christian organizations and associations, and a large number of devout Christians, many of whom had been spiritual children of Fr. Pankratios. Thus, a gathering was held in memory of the departed Father.

A beautifully prepared commemorative volume referring to events from his life was distributed.
