On 3 October 1988, the Consecration of the Holy Monastery of the Transfiguration of the Savior in Korea was celebrated by the late Metropolitan Dionysios of New Zealand and Exarch of Korea.
“We concelebrated with His Eminence Fr. Ambrosios, eight priests, and the Deacon. Many faithful attended, even from Busan. This was also the 30th anniversary celebration of our Monastery since the day of its Consecration (3 October 1988).
After the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, a monastic meal was offered to everyone in the courtyard of the Holy Monastery. In his address, Metropolitan Ambrosios of Korea spoke about the history of the foundation of the Holy Monastery and how a project that at the time seemed humanly impossible became a reality.
Finally, everyone expressed their prayers and wishes that, through the intercessions of the 24 Holy Protectors of Korea and of Saints Porphyrios and Paisios, the construction of the new wing would be completed, serving the needs of the Holy Monastery and Orthodox and non-Orthodox pilgrims alike, for the glory of God.”
