It was founded in 1996 by separation from the then Metropolis of New Zealand and was recognized the same year by the Government of Hong Kong. It encompasses the People’s Republic of China, Macao, Taiwan, the Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Myanmar, and Mongolia.<\/p>\n
